I have been redesigning homes and spaces for many (many) years. My infatuation with design led me back to school, despite having advanced degrees in education. Now it's a full blown romance. I have learned so many interesting things about interior design, and it's spilling over.
Years ago, when I was in my early twenties, I was speaking to a good friend about my new apartment, and how I wanted to decorate it. I rambled on about the window in the living room and how I would arrange plants and books and the like, and she said, "You're a nester," to which I took offense. Having just gotten a college degree, I felt that I was above all that domestic stuff. How dare she call me a "nester!" But her diagnosis was spot-on.
Over the years, I have learned to not only accept my nesting affliction, but to embrace it. I am a nester. I love my home, and I love decorating spaces that make a home well.... homey.
On this blog I want to share my photos, drawings and musings that have made up my designs. I hope to inspire and be inspired with you.
